Horrific Crime: Man Fatally Stabs Wife Near Son’s School in Bengaluru
In a tragic and disturbing event, a man murdered his wife in broad daylight near their child’s school in Bengaluru. The shocking incident unfolded in Vinayakanagar, Hebbagodi, close to Anekal town on Wednesday.
The victim, identified as 29-year-old Sriganga, was allegedly attacked by her husband, Mohanraj, who has since been taken into custody.
Authorities revealed that the couple had been married for seven years and shared a six-year-old son. However, two years ago, Mohanraj started doubting Sriganga’s fidelity, suspecting she was involved with one of his friends. These suspicions led to ongoing arguments, eventually resulting in their separation eight months ago.
On Tuesday night, Mohanraj visited Sriganga’s home, reportedly to see his son. A heated confrontation broke out between them. The next morning, as Sriganga was riding her scooter to drop their child at school, Mohanraj, who had been waiting nearby, intercepted her and launched a brutal knife attack.
Horrified bystanders attempted to rush the gravely injured woman to a hospital, but she succumbed to her wounds.
Bengaluru Rural SP S.K. Baba confirmed the crime, stating that legal action has been initiated and an investigation is ongoing. Police discovered that Mohanraj and his friend worked in the same factory, and the friend had previously stayed at their home, which triggered Mohanraj’s suspicions.
Authorities are further probing the case to verify his claims.
