Bengaluru: A class four student from Haveri, who was allegedly beaten up by his hostel warden for urinating in the bed died in Vani Vilas hospital, on Sunday late evening. He had developed complications as the warden allegedly assaulted him in the stomach.
According to the preliminary information, Vijaya Mrithyunjaya Hirematha, a class IV student in Hanagal and an inmate of a private hostel in Hanagal is the deceased boy.
“He was brutally pounded by the hostel warden 15 days ago for urinating in the bed. He sustained injuries inside his stomach and developed complications. Even though he was rushed to Bengaluru for advanced treatment, he died in Vani Vilas hospital,” informed his family members.
A case has been registered at Hanagal police station.
