Bengaluru: MLC Basavaraj Horatti has expressed his displeasure over the Janata Dal (Secular) party for allegedly neglecting him during the 14-month-tenure of the Congress-JD(S) state coalition government.

Speaking to the media on Tuesday, October 22, he said, “During the coalition government regime, the leaders of the coalition have not treated me as expected. I’m a person who will not indulge in any anti-party activities at any cost. If I’ve to say something, I’ll directly say it, in a straightforward manner.”

“HD Kumaraswamy has become chief minister for two terms, hence it doesn’t hold good on my part to certify him. Former prime minister and JD(S) supremo has said that he would chair a meeting and sort out all the confusion,” he said.

Expressing his distress over the party he said, “When I had to step down as the speaker of the Karnataka Legislative Council, no one spoke to me or consoled me, and that pain still persists. But I have never kept hard feelings on HDD.”

Meanwhile, he has said that for the time being, he has not decided on quitting JD(S), and if he does so, he would inform HDD and the media personnel.
