Bengaluru: I am not a Sanyasi (sage). I am also an aspirant of the BJP state unit president’s post. The term of the incumbent president expired in December 2018, but he has continued in the post due to the Lok Sabha elections, said former DCM and Vokkaliga face of the BJP R Ashok.
Participating in an interaction at the Press Club in the city, he stated that if the party gives him the responsibility, then he is confident of reaching the goals.
He also stated that the JDS-Congress alliance is limited to a few leaders. Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy, H D Revanna and Deputy Chief Minister G Parameshwara want this alliance, but others don’t.
“This government will collapse after the Lok Sabha elections,” he said.
“The BJP is like a training institute. So the youth prefer the BJP,” he said.
