Bengaluru: Janata Dal (Secular) state president and former Chief Minister and JD(S) State president H.D. Kumaraswamy on Friday announced in the Assembly that he had done no wrong in his 20-month tenure as Chief Minister.
“Let there be 10 cases filed against me. I am ready to face them. I have patience. I am not sitting in a glasshouse. I am on the street,” Kumaraswamy said.
Participating in the debate on the State Budget, Kumaraswamy said he has been made accused number two in the denotification of land case in Bengaluru North taluk. Even the Rs. 150-crore bribe allegations made against him by former BJP Minister G. Janardhan Reddy, he had taken in his stride.
The High Court on Thursday directed the Special Investigation Team not to arrest Kumaraswamy till June 20 in the illegal mining case. The JD(S) leader also spoke about various loopholes in the State administration and demanded that the government waive crop loans. He opposed the Tourism Department’s move to sack 500 home guards.
