Bengaluru: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Tuesday expressed shock and sorrow over the sad demise of Minister for Cooperation and Sugar H S Mahadeva Prasad.
In a message, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said the demise of Mahadeva Prasad was unexpected and all of us are shocked to hear the sad news. “Mahadeva Prasad died of cardiac arrest. I have lost a good friend. He is one of my close associates. His death is a big loss for me,’’ the chief minister said.
Describing late Mahadeva Prasad as a good politician, the chief minister said that he had never come across Prasad speaking harshly with anyone. “He was capable of handling any position including the ministership. He had no black dot in his political career. He was with Janata Parivar before joining Congress. I pray God to give strength to his family members to bear the grief and pain,’’ the chief minister said.
Meanwhile, Minister for Bengaluru Development and Town Planning K J George has expressed deep shock over the untimely and unexpected death of his ministerial colleague Cooperation and Sugar H S Mahadeva Prasad.
In a message, the minister conveyed condolence to the members of the bereaved family. “In Shri Prasad’s death the state has lost a disciplined administrator. He was very simple and creative,” the minister recalled.
