I mistook vultures for parrots, Siddaramaiah attacks HDK

Bengaluru: The war of words between coalition government leaders seems to be on even after the fall of the ‘friendship government’.Close on the heels of former chief minister HD Kumaraswamy saying that the coalition government of the Congress and the JDS was one of the worst governments ever and that he has suffered a lot as long as the coalition was in existence, former chief minister Siddaramaiah has taken a potshot at HDK.

“I thought they were parrots, they turned out to be vultures,” said Siddaramaiah taking on HDK. In a tweet on Monday, Siddaramaiah directly addressed HDK and said, “The parrots that I trusted have turned out to be vultures. It is my mistake for sure. Even after four decades of political experience, I still perceived the vultures as parrots and went ahead with the coalition. There is no lesson greater than experience.”
Earlier, HDK had said that his bitter experiences with the Congress will now make the JDS face the elections all alone, without any coalition. The statement did not go down well with Siddaramaiah, who retorted to the statement with the vulture jibe.
The Congress and the JDS leaders have been at loggerheads with each other after the fall of the coalition.
