Bengaluru: The spurt in the COVID 19 cases has now forced the state government to follow the Maharashtra module. With the idea of ensuring enough space to quarantine COVID 19 contacts, the state government decided to convert the iconic Kanteerava stadium of the city into a quarantine center. If required the Chinnaswamy cricket ground in the city is also expected to be converted into a quarantine center.
Medical education minister Dr. K Sudhakar disclosed the government’s plans in this regard.

Adding to this, a door to door survey carried out by the health and education department staff has revealed that SARI and ILI cases are rampant. As a precautionary measure, now the government decided to create big quarantine centers to face any emergency situation.
An officer from the state health department told NewsKarnataka that the monsoon is expected to add to the COVID 19 burden. “During the monsoon, malaria, and common flu are common. It is very difficult to differentiate between these fevers and Covid19 at the initial stage. So, we are getting ready on a war footing,” he added.
