II PU results: DK, Udupi stand first with 90.71 pc

Mangaluru: The II PU results are out and Udupi and Dakshina Kannada district have bagged the first place in the state with 90.71 per cent.

The overall pass per centage in the state is 61.80 per cent. Last year it was 61.73 per cent.

The girls have managed to bag 68.73 per cent leaving behind boys at 54.77 per cent even this year. Meanwhile, students from Urban areas have bagged 62.60 per cent while rural students have scored a pass percent of 58.99 per cent.

The Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board (KSEEB), on Tuesday July 14 declared the results of the Pre-University II-year examination (PUC). The results are out on website – karresults.nic.in.

Kodagu district has secured the second slot in the state with 81.53 per cent. Vijayapura stood last with 54.22 per cent.

Total of 6,75,277 students had appared for the examination. A total of 3,84,847 have passed among the freshers. The freshers have grossed 69.20 per cent.

A total of 91,025 repeaters appeared for the exam and 26, 602 have passed grossing 46 per cent. Out of 27,985 private candidates, 6748 have passed. 

Science stream students who have passed stands at 76.2 per cent, which was 66.58 per cent last year. Commerce stream pass percentage stands at 65.52 per cent this year, which was last year 66.39 per cent.

Art stream pass percentage is 41.21 per cent, as against last year’s 50.53 per cent.
