II PU supplementary exams begin today

Bengaluru: Second pre-university supplementary examinations will be held from today(June 29) at 301 centres of the state. The pre-university education department has taken all precautionary measures to avoid any illegalities.

The examinations, that was originally scheduled on June 8 was postponed due to the legislative council elections the state. Nearly 2.5 lakh students, including private candidates and repeaters, will write the exam. On the first day, they will write on sociology, accountancy, and mathematics.

The examination will be held from 10.15 am to 1.30 pm. Few exams will be held from 2.30 pm to 5.45 pm. The exams will conclude on July 10.

In order to avoid question paper leak, the PU Board has decided to adopt a new practice and would transfer the question papers online to the examination centres. On a trial basis, this system will be introduced in two exam centres during this supplementary examination. The question papers which are transferred online to the examination centres will be downloaded and printed for the distribution.

The board has decided to transfer the question papers online to Government Boy’s College, Malleshwaram and MES PU College Examination Centres which are near to the PU Education Department office.
