Bengaluru: The Special Investigation Team (SIT), which is investigating the multi-crore IMA scam has directed former minister, MLA, Congress strongman B Z Zameer Ahmed Khan to appear for an inquiry on July 29.
It has also asked another prominent Muslim leader, former minister Roshan Baig, who quit the Congress recently to appear for the inquiry on the same day.
According to the sources, the decision to investigate both leaders was taken following the statements issued by the main accused Mansoor Khan. Khan blamed Baig for cheating on him while Zameer Khan has bought land from the IMA.
With accused Mansoor Khan naming several leaders in his audio tapes, more leaders are expected to be summoned by the SIT for the investigation.
