IMA scammed 95,000 investors, ED tells court

Bengaluru: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) informed the ED special court that a total of 95,000 investors were duped by IMA MD and main accused in the case, Mansoor Khan.

The ED, in its first affidavit submitted to the court, estimated the amount cheated to be around Rs 4,500 crores. As many as 26 persons have been named as accused in this affidavit, which runs into 6,000 pages. It also informed that a total of five companies were floated by Khan and his associates to lure unsuspecting investors.

Meanwhile, revenue minister R Ashok informed that the state government has seized all properties belong to IMA company and the Khan family. “The property seized includes 303 kilograms of gold,” he said.
