Bengaluru: With Christmas coming up, the city is witnessing the festive spirit with decorations, Christmas trees and gatherings. Marking this season, the India Home Health Care (IHHC) organised “Grand Christmas Carol 2016”, an inter-hospital Carol singing competition on December 16 at Methodist Church Hall, 100 ft Road, Indiranagar.
The competition brought together nurses in the health care industry thus celebrating the joy of Christmas and bringing the spirit of togetherness among the community. More than 15 teams took part in the contest and performed two songs each. Leading hospitals such as Apollo Hospitals, Colombia Asia, Aster CMI Health Care, Ramakrishna, Motherhood, Narayana Nethralaya, Sakara World, and few other hospitals participated in the event.
“The festive season is to remember our near and dear ones and also to celebrate the spirit of togetherness. Being in the healthcare industry it is good to have such gatherings apart from official meets like conferences and other events. Occasions like these also help in getting to know others who belong to the same fraternity“, said Dr. Anitha Arockiasamy, President, India Home Health Care.
Speaking about the event, Shini Das, a nurse from Motherhood who participated in the competition said, “This is the first time I am attending such a programme. I am excited that they have introduced something new this year. For us, it is not just a competition. We are here today to glorify and give praise in the name of God.”
The winners were declared at the end of the competition. The event also witnessed the official launch of the South Bengaluru office.
