Indian Railways Announces Summer Special Trains to Meet Passenger Rush

Railways will run summer special trains to clear the extra rush of passengers during the summer season. The details are as follows:

1.Train Nos. 07309/07310 Vasco Da Gama-Muzaffarpur-Vasco Da Gama Weekly Express Special will run for 4 trips:

Train No. 07309 will depart from Vasco Da Gama at 16:00 hrs on April 17, 24, May 1 & 8, 2024 (Wednesday) to reach Muzaffarpur at 09:45 hrs on Friday.

In the return direction, Train No. 07310 will depart from Muzaffarpur at 13:00 hrs on April 20, 27, May 4 & 11, 2024, arriving in Vasco Da Gama at 06:30 hrs on Monday.

Enroute, the train will have stoppages at Madgaon, Thivim, Sawantwadi Road, Ratnagiri, Chiplun, Panvel, Kalyan Jn., Nashik Road, Manmad Jn., Bhusaval Jn., Khandwa, Itarsi Jn., Jabalpur, Katni Jn., Satna, Prayagraj Chheoki, PT. Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Jn., Buxar, Ara Jn., Danapur, Patliputra Jn., and Hajipur stations in both directions.

The special trains will consist of a total of 20 coaches, including AC-2 tier-1, AC-3 tier-1, AC-3 tier economy-2, Sleeper class-10, General Second Class-4, Second luggage cum brake vans/disabled coach-1, and Brake, luggage & generator car-1.

2.Train Nos. 06565/06566 SMVT Bengaluru-Malda Town-SMVT Bengaluru Weekly Express Special will run for 11 trips:

Train No. 06565 will depart from Sir M. Visvesvaraya Terminal, Bengaluru at 16:35 hrs every Wednesday from April 17 to June 26, 2024. This train will arrive at Malda Town at 07:30 hrs on Friday.

In the return direction, Train No. 06566 will depart from Malda Town at 08:50 hrs every Saturday from April 20 to June 29, 2024 and arrive at SMVT Bengaluru at 03:00 hrs on Monday.

Enroute, the train will have stoppages at Krishnarajapuram, Bangarapet, Jolarpettai, Katpadi, Renigunta, Gudur, Ongole, Vijayawada, Rajahmundry, Duvvada, Kottavalasa, Vizianagaram, Srikakulam Road, Palasa, Brahmapur, Khurda Road, Bhubaneswar, Cuttack Jn, Bhadrak, Baleshwar, Kharagpur, Dankuni, Bolpur (Shantiniketan), Rampur Hat and  New Farakka stations in both directions.

The special trains will consist of a total of 19 coaches, including First class cum Second AC Coach-1, AC-2 tier coaches-2, AC-3 tier coaches-2, Sleeper Class Coaches-5, General Second Class Coaches-7, luggage and brake van with disabled friendly compartment -2.

 

  1. Train Nos. 01662/01661 Rani Kamalapati-Mysuru-Rani Kamalapati Weekly Express Special will run for 15 trips via Gadag By-pass:

Train No. 01662 will depart from Rani Kamalapati at 08:30 hrs on every Thursday, effective from April 18 to July 25, 2024. This train will arrive at Mysuru at 22:35 hrs on Friday.

In the return direction, Train No. 01661 will depart from Mysuru at 07:30 hrs on every Saturday, effective from April 20 to July 27, 2024 and arrive Rani Kamalapati at 22:30 hrs on Sunday.

Enroute, the train will have stoppages at Narmadapuram, Itarsi Jn., Harda, Khandwa, Bhusaval Jn., Manmad Jn., Kopargaon, Belapur, Ahmadnagar, Daund Jn., Kurduwadi, Solapur, Hotgi, Indi Road, Vijayapura, Basavana Bagewadi Road, Almatti, Bagalkot, Badami, SSS Hubballi, SMM Haveri, Ranibennur, Davangere, Chikjajur Jn., Birur Jn., Arsikere Jn., Tumakuru, Yesvantpur Jn., KSR Bengaluru, Kengeri, Ramanagaram and Mandya stations in both directions.

The special trains will consist of a total of 22 coaches, including AC-2 tier-2, AC-3 tier-3, AC-3 tier economy-7, Sleeper Class-4, General Second Class-2, brake, luggage and generator car-2.

4.Train Nos. 06589/06590 SMVT Bengaluru-Kalaburagi-SMVT Bengaluru Weekly Express Special will run for 9 trips:

Train No. 06589 will depart from SMVT Bengaluru at 23:00 hrs on every Sunday & Tuesday from April 21 to May 19, 2024. This train will arrive at Kalaburagi at 09:05 hrs on the next day.

In the return direction, Train No. 06590 will depart from Kalaburagi at 17:10 hrs on every Monday & Wednesday from April 22 to May 20, 2024, 2024, arriving in SMVT Bengaluru at 04:15 hrs on the next day.

Enroute, the train will have stoppages at Yelahanka, Dharmavaram Jn., Anantapur, Guntakal Jn., Adoni, Manthralayam Road, Raichur, Yadgir and Shahabad stations in both directions

 

The special trains will consist of a total of 20 coaches, including AC first class cum second class-1, AC-2 tier-1, AC-3 tier-4, Sleeper class-10, General Second Class-2, Second luggage cum brake vans/disabled coach-2.

5.Train Nos. 04131/04132 Prayagraj Jn-SMVT Bengaluru-Prayagraj Jn Weekly Express Special will run for 11 trips:

Train No. 04131 will depart from Prayagraj Jn at 23:30 hrs on every Sunday from April 21 to June 30, 2024. This train will arrive at SMVT Bengaluru at 18:30 hrs on Tuesday.

In the return direction, Train No. 04132 will depart from SMVT Bengaluru at 07:10 hrs on every Wednesday from April 24 to July 3, 2024 and arrive at Prayagraj Jn at 22:50 hrs on Thursday.

Enroute, the train will have stoppages at Manikpur, Satna, Katni, Jabalpur, Itarsi, Nagpur, Ballarshah, Warangal, Vijayawada, Dr. MGR Chennai Central, Katpadi, Jolarpettai and Krishnarajapuram stations in both directions.

The special trains will consist of a total of 20 coaches, including AC-2 tier-2, AC-3 tier economy-5, Sleeper class-7, General Second Class-4, Second luggage cum brake vans/disabled coach-1, and Brake, luggage & generator car-1.

6.Train Nos. 05952/05951 New Tinsukia-SMVT Bengaluru- New Tinsukia Weekly Express Special will run for 9 trips:

Train No. 05952 will depart from New Tinsukia at 18:45 hrs on every Thursday from May 2 to June 27, 2024. This train will arrive at SMVT Bengaluru at 09:30 hrs on Sunday.

In the return direction, Train No. 05951 will depart from SMVT Bengaluru at 00:30 hrs on every Monday from May 6 to July 1, 2024 and arrive at New Tinsukia at 13:15 hrs on Wednesday.

Enroute, the train will have stoppages at Dibrugarh, Dhemaji, North Lakhimpur, Harmuti, Vishwanath Charali, Rangapara North, Rangiya Jn., New Bongaigaon  Jn., Kokrajhar, New Cooch Behar, New Jalpaiguri Jn., Kishanganj, Malda Town, Rampur Hat, Dankuni, Andul, Kharagpur, Bhadrak, Cuttack, Bhubaneswar, Khurda Road Jn., Palasa, Srikakulam Road, Vizianagaram Jn., Visakhapatnam, Duvvada, Vijayawada Jn., Gudur Jn., Perambur, Katpadi Jn., Jolarpettai Jn., and Whitefield stations in both directions.

The special trains will consist of a total of 22 coaches, including AC-2 tier-1, AC-3 tier-5, Sleeper class-14, Second luggage cum brake vans-2.
