IndiGo has launched a direct connection between Bengaluru and Mauritius, marking its 35th international route. The airline will operate four weekly flights on this new path, offering a quick, five-and-a-half-hour journey.

The inaugural flight took off on November 19, making Mauritius the second African destination after Nairobi, Kenya, which was added to their network earlier this year. This new service not only aims to promote tourism but is also expected to strengthen commercial, trade, and cultural ties between India and Mauritius.

Flight schedules for this route are as follows: departures from Bengaluru at 3:20 AM on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays, reaching Mauritius at 7:45 AM local time. Return flights depart Mauritius at 9:30 AM, arriving back in Bengaluru at 4:45 PM local time.

IndiGo’s Global Sales Head, Vinay Malhotra, expressed excitement about the new service, highlighting the historical and economic connections between the two nations. The direct flights with visa-on-arrival provisions for Indian travelers open up opportunities for both leisure and business tourism.

This new route adds to IndiGo’s extensive fleet of over 380 aircraft, connecting 85 domestic and 30 international destinations with more than 2,100 daily operations.
