TV Mohandas Pai, Infosys co-founder, criticized IndiGo over an unpleasant experience in Bengaluru. Pai and other passengers on flight 6E 7407 were left waiting on the tarmac without air conditioning.
Taking to X, Pai expressed frustration: “IndiGo treats its passengers badly. Sitting in 6E 7407 without AC on hot tarmac in Bengaluru. No way to treat passengers. Only after a protest, staff used a tarmac generator for AC. Please change your protocol.” He tagged the Airports Authority of India and Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu Kinjarapu in his post.
IndiGo responded, thanking Pai for his feedback and ensuring it would be reviewed. They stated, “At IndiGo, customer comfort is of utmost importance to us. We appreciate your patience and understanding.”
A source from the airline clarified that ATR aircraft do not operate air conditioning on the tarmac since it functions only when engines are at full power after takeoff.
Separately, IndiGo recently went viral after a quirky Instagram video showed two men imitating train-style tea service aboard an IndiGo flight. The lighthearted act, featuring tea served in disposable cups, drew over six lakh views online.
