Bengaluru: Within four years Bengaluru will be one among top ten leading cities in the world in implementing innovative technological industries, and the only city in the country to achieve the milestone.
In the report prepared by the international advisory institution KPMG under the name ‘The Changing Landscape of Descriptive Technologies’, Bengaluru and Israel capital Tel Aviv share a joint 8th place. Chinese capital Shanghai is in the first place and Tokyo, London, New York, Beijing, Singapur, and Seoul come next respectively.
According to the KPMG report, last year, American and Chinese cities had dominated the leading 10 cities on the list. However, this year the top 10 list includes the cities of America, Europe, and Israel.
According to the report, India is in the third position among the countries which influence the global technology field.
Out of around 800 leading technology firms of the world, 13% of them are interested to invest in India. Around 34% showed interest to invest in America and China attracts around 26% investors. Out of 5200 technological new ventures, 1,000 were initiated in 2017. Among these, 80% of new ventures are in Bengaluru, Delhi, Mumbai cities. Most importantly, 50% of them established in Bengaluru.
In the innovative technology industry establishment, the country is facing ahead. According to the global innovation rate, in 2017, India has raised to 60th position and it was in 66th position in 2016.
