Bengaluru: ‘Bengaluru International Film Fest’, an annual festival of world cinema will be inaugurated in the Garden City today, February 22. The movie lovers can savour world-class movies in this 8-day event.
Iranian actress Fatemeh Motamed Arya, French Producer Mark Bouchet, Bollywood Director Rakesh Rakesh Om Prakash Mehra will participate as guests, Kannada actors Shivarajkumar, Darshan, and Sudeep will be the special invitees.
Chalanachitra Academy President S V Rajendra Singh Babu said that to make the decennial celebrations a memorable one, celebrities from the film industries from various countries have been invited. Seminars will be held on various sectors of the field. Kannada film industry can get benefit from it.
‘Its the Law’, an Italian movie directed by Salvatore Picara and Valentino Picone will be screened at the inaugural movie at the Banquet Hall of the Vidhana Soudha. From Saturday, movies will be screened in Orion Mall multiplex screens.
On the backdrop of the international film fest holiday has been declared for Kannada Film Industry. The industry will actively participate in the inaugural programme, said Karnataka Chalanachitra Vanijya Mandali President Sa.Ra. Govindu.
