Bengaluru: The State Government is all set to host the Organics and Millets International Trade Fair 2018 from January 19 to 21 at the Bengaluru palace.
Speaking to media persons here on Saturday, Minister for Agriculture Krishna Byre Gowda said: “Karnataka is a major producer and exporter of organic foods. However, there is immense potential to diversify the product range to include coconut, pulses, aromatic crops, fruits, and other crops.”
The fair will enhance market demand, and connect farmers to businesses and market. The event will engage about 10,000 farmers and over lakh persons. Around 225 companies will take part. A food hall with nearly 20 outlets selling organic and millet food will be set up.
