Bengaluru: In less than 24 hours after he was transferred out of the Bengaluru South DCP’s post, the state government withheld the transfer of IPS officer K Annamalai.
According to the sources in the DPAR, his transfer order has been withheld according to the directions of CM HD Kumaraswamy.
It can be recalled that on Wednesday evening, the state government had transferred Annamalai along with several other IAS and IPS officer, but the government didn’t show him any new posting.
His untimely transfer led to angry reactions from the general public who had accused the state government of targeting a tough officer for cracking antisocial cases.
It can be recalled that recently Annamalai transferred 70 police personnel of the Kumaraswamy Layout police station in a single day and over the years, the officer, who has been named as ‘Singham’ by his fans has been a nightmare for anti-social elements wherever he served.
