Bengaluru: Squashing all the allegations that KPCC Chief DK Shivakumar has been targeted by the BJP, Minister for Medical Education Dr K Sudhakar asked why DKShi would be targeted when there are more influential leaders in the party.
“Is DKShi the only leaders in the Congress? Why no raids were conducted on the residence of former CM Siddaramaiah, who is a mass leader and is much more influential than DKShi. This means nobody is being targeted,” clarified the Minister adding that the CBI has raided DKShi’s properties only because of allegations on him.
“He had faced probe from Income Tax and Enforcement Directorate too. This may be a continuation of the same probe. There is no political angle to this,” he said.
As many as 14 locations, including residences of DK Shivakumar and his brother DK Suresh were raided by the CBI in an early morning operation, on Monday.
The Congress has called this as a ‘politics of vendetta’.
