Bengaluru: The JDS leadership has reacted strongly, a few hours after the IT department officials raided the houses of their party leaders and PWD officers across the state. PWD minister H D Revanna stated that the IT commissioner is fit to join Prime Minister Modi’s and BJP state president B S Yeddyurappa’s households as a slave.
Speaking to reporters in Holenarasipur of the Hassan district, he stated that the JDS leaders cannot be threatened by this. “PM Modi doesn’t know the capacity of former prime minister H D Devegowda. We will hold a state-wide protest against these raids,” he said.
He also stated that the IT officers gave a clean chit to the BJP state president within 24 hours, but is conducting raids on the houses of other party leaders. “We will not tolerate this,” he said.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy has stated that this is the real ‘surgical strike’.
In a tweet, he stated, “PM @narendramodi’s real surgical strike is out in the open through IT dept raids. The constitutional post offer for IT officer Balakrishna helped the PM in his revenge game. Highly deplorable to use govt machinery, corrupt officials to harrass opponents during election time. (sic)”
