Bengaluru: Raids continue to be conducted on the residences of Congress leaders Dr G Parameshwar and R L Jalappa and the IT department has obtained enough evidence of corruption in the medical admissions case.
On day two, the IT officials continued the raids on the offices and residential complexes owned by both the leaders. If sources are to be believed, over Rs 5 crores cash has been collected in the raids so far.
“The IT officials seized some incriminating documents showing corruption in the NEET, which is mandatory for medical UG and PG admissions. The IT department is expected to hand over the entire case to the CBI,” explained a source in the state intelligence department.
“The IT officials sought first-year MBBS and PG admission details from both the colleges run by these leaders. It will possibly be a pan-India scam,” he added.
