Bengaluru: JDS state leadership has banned texting or calling its women wing leaders and activists by their male colleagues post 8 pm. A circular has been issued in this regard, which is circulated among the party cadres.
According to the party sources, recently a few women wing leaders and activists raised the issue of harassment by few male leaders and activists. The women said that some male members have been harassing them in the name of organising the party.
“Few activists and leaders were allegedly troubling the women activists late in the night by texting, making calls and sending Whatsapp messages. To ensure that no activist feels harassed, this circular has been issued,” informed a leader.
