Bengaluru: The JDS and Congress parties have decided to organise a mammoth rally on March 31 on the city’s outskirts. This is being done to send a loud and clear message to the activists- “We are together and fighting the election unitedly”.
A decision in this regard has been taken by the senior leaders of both the parties, following the mounting fear that the activists may cast their vote for the BJP instead of the alliance candidates in all the 28 Lok Sabha constituencies.
As per the plan, the rally will be held on any of the major grounds along the Bengaluru- Mysuru road. Senior leaders of both the parties will attend the rally and send a strong message to the cadres that they are united.
According to sources in the Congress party, this rally is the brain child of the All India Congress COmmittee (AICC) Karnataka in-charge K C Venugopal. “We are expecting AICC president Rahul Gandhi to address this rally,” said a Congress leader.
