Bengaluru: All the Janata Dal (S) MLAs who had resigned from their respective legislator posts, here on Monday, July 8, after the Congress-Janata Dal (S) state coalition were expected to be shifted to Paddington Resort and Spa located in Somawarpet of Kodagu district. However, currently in a volatile political scenario in the state, the party high command has decided to arrange for the MLAs’ stay at Prestige Golfshire Club situated in Devanahalli, Bengaluru Rural.

According to sources, the decision is said to have been taken at the last moment after repeated meetings, fearing a decrease in the headcount required to run the state coalition and also the ‘Operation Lotus’ by the Bharatiya Janata Party.

Former chief minister and CLP leader Siddaramaiah is expected to have a meeting with all the JDS MLAs tonight.

Meanwhile, the number of rebel coalition MLAs has risen to 11 with the inclusion of MLA N Mahesh. The rebel team which is now residing in a five star hotel Sofitel Mumbai BKC located at Bandra Kurla Complex will now be shifted to Goa.
