Bengaluru: A Jharkhand labourer died on the spot after falling from the 32nd floor of an apartment while trying to chase away the bees.
According to the Amruthahalli police, a 40-floor apartment is coming up in Veerannanagar of the city and Jharkhand labourer by name Vasudev (21) was working as a construction labourer. On Sunday evening he was asked to destroy a beehive and while chasing the bees away, he fell from the 32nd floor and died on the spot.
“We have registered a case against the contractor,” informed the police.
According to the police no safety equipment was provided to the labourer while he was asked to remove the beehive. “Three labourers were involved in this task,” police added.
