In a shocking act of vengeance, three cars were torched and a motorbike severely damaged in South Bengaluru after midnight on Saturday. The prime suspect, identified as Rahul alias Star Rahul, a notorious history-sheeter, is believed to have carried out the attack after being rejected by a young woman.

The incident occurred within the jurisdictions of Channamanakere Achhukaatu and Subramanyapura police stations. Two of the gutted cars belonged to the girl’s parents, while the bike belonged to her elder brother. A third car, parked nearby, was also damaged.

Rahul, a cab driver with 18 criminal cases—including attempted murder, drug peddling, and robbery—allegedly stormed the victim’s residence with three accomplices on bikes. Around 12:30 AM, he confronted the girl’s father and brother, accusing them of turning her against him, before physically attacking the brother.

The gang then set fire to the father’s car and damaged the brother’s bike before heading to an apartment in Arehalli, Subramanyapura, where the girl and her mother lived. After failed attempts to contact her, they torched the mother’s car in the basement, causing damage to another vehicle. When the apartment’s security guard intervened, Rahul reportedly assaulted him before fleeing.

Police have received complaints from the girl’s brother and the third car’s owner. A manhunt is underway to apprehend Rahul and his associates.
