Bengaluru: A junior film artiste died under mysterious circumstances on Monday evening during the shooting of Kannada film VIP in Rajankunte police limits. The police have identified the victim as Padmavathi (44), a resident of Jakkur working as a junior artiste.
According to sources, the unit was shooting at Rajankunte, Avalahalli. The VIP unit was shooting at an under-construction building and the unit packed up at around 5.30 pm. Later, while a headcount was done in order to arrange for payment, it was discovered that Padmavathi was missing. Her body was found in a secluded spot on the site almost two hours later.
It may be recalled that two actors fell to their death after jumping from a helicopter into the Tippagondanahalli reservoir as part of a stunt for the movie Maastigudi in November.
