Bengaluru: Karnataka recorded 2,162 new Covid-19 cases and 48 deaths, bringing the total number of infections and deaths to 28,69,320 and 35,779 on Saturday July 10.
The number of discharges continued to outnumber new cases on the day, bringing the total number of recoveries in the state to 27,96,377.
According to the health department’s bulletin, 452 of the 2,162 new cases reported on Saturday were from Bengaluru Urban, which saw 746 discharges and only five deaths.
In total, there are 37,141 active cases in the state.
The case fatality rate (CFR) was 2.22 percent, while the positivity rate for the day was 1.48 percent.
