Bengaluru: The state government has introduced a new system to add transparency to Remdesivir distribution and to prevent the drug from being sold illegally.

The Health and Education Minister K. Sudhakar said in his tweet that, “In order to bring transparency in allocation of Remdesivir, a tech-driven system has been developed and now the patients will get a SMS informing which hospital is providing the medicine against SRF ID. Citizens can also check information using the link, https://covidwar.karnataka.gov.in/service2.

He also stated that if the Remdesivir is assigned to the SRF ID, but not distributed to the patients, a facility is available in the same connection to report it to the government.
