Bengaluru: The security cover has been beefed up for former K S Eshwarappa following a threat call by an anonymous person.
It all started with Eshwarappa justifying the party’s decision to not give any tickets to Muslim candidates in Koppla and Belagavi. Reportedly, he said, “Let the Muslims start reposing faith in the BJP and clean the party office first. Later, we can consider giving them a ticket.”
On Sunday, an unidentified person called Eshwarappa and criticised him using foul language before making a threat. “I also shouted back at him. I am lodging a complaint on Monday,” he stated.
Following the news, the district police have decided to improve the security cover given to Eshwarappa.
