Mysuru: “There are vital clues that Kalburgi’s shooting has some connection with rationalist Dr Narendra Dabholkar’s murder in Maharashtra,” Home Minister Mr G Parameshwar said on Friday.
His statement comes in reaction to reports that the M.M. Kalburgi family members were losing patience over the delay in the investigation into his murder.
“There is no necessity to hand over the case to CBI. Our CID team is capable. We will take all necessary assistance from IB or CBI,” he added.
Home minister said that the government was confident of nabbing the culprits very soon.
Earlier he participated in the passing-out parade of the 43rd batch of 87 prison personnel at the Prison Training Institute, here on Friday morning.
Addressing the prison personnel, he said, “Among those passing out today, 17 are post-graduates, six of them have done B Ed, eight have completed D Ed, 44 are graduates, two hold Diplomas. We are getting personnel who have studied M Tech. This only indicates the quality of personnel in the police department. The personnel who are passing out today are being even trained in psychology,” he said.
