Bengaluru: CP Yogeshwar, an actor and former minister, is known as a big political turncoat. He has joined all the major parties and subsequently quit them. Surprisingly, RSS leader Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat reportedly wants CM BS Yediyurappa to induct him into the cabinet so that Yogeshwar can take on the powerful DKShi brothers in Bengaluru (Rural) district. This proposal has now angered BJP leaders with an RSS background.
A senior BJP leader told News Karnataka that Bhat is pressurising the Chief Minister to induct Yogeshwar. “Recently, Yogeshwar organised an RSS protest against the proposed Christ statue in Kapalabetta, Kanakapura. A huge number of Vokkaligas had turned up for the protest. Now, Bhat is planning to expand the RSS base among the Vokkaliga community and thus, wants CM BSY to include Yogeshwar,” he said.
“Several MLAs have warned the CM that if Yogeshwar is inducted into the party, they will protest. BSY is now under pressure,” he stated.
