
Kanara Entrepreneurs Hosts Successful ‘Entrepreneurship Development Programme’
Kanara Entrepreneurs (KE), a not-for-profit mutual-benefit networking organization dedicated to nurturing entrepreneurs, successfully conducted a day-long program titled ‘Entrepreneurship Development Programme’ (EDP) on Saturday, 27th July 2024. This initiative, part of KE’s ongoing up-skill initiatives, saw participation from over 75 entrepreneurs and aspiring entrepreneurs.
The EDP focused on enhancing skills through various key topics such as Building a Great Team, Digital Marketing, Finance for Entrepreneurs & Leaders, the Art of Selling, and Raising Funds for Business. The event commenced with a prayer and welcome address by KE Member Luvena Rangel, who also emceed the event.
Charles Gomes, KE Bangalore Chapter Founder-President and CEO of CAD Pharma, delivered the keynote speech, emphasizing the essential qualities of passion and courage for entrepreneurial success. He also highlighted the importance of a robust business idea, plan, and execution.
The program featured an impressive lineup of speakers including:
- Kiran Veigas, GM & Head of Corporate Marketing & Communications at Happiest Minds
- Rohit Fernandes, Co-Founder & CEO of Brands of Bharat
- CA Jasmine Pinto, Co-Founder & Partner at Finzcurve
- Sunil Attavar, Chairman & MD of Group Pharmaceuticals
- Pramod DSouza, Co-Founder of Eagle10 Ventures
These industry experts shared their knowledge on building great teams, digital marketing strategies, financial management for key business decisions, raising capital through equity or debt, and effective sales techniques.
Claudius Pereira, President of the KE Bangalore Chapter, provided a summary of the day’s learnings, underscoring the importance of taking action when opportunities arise. Eugene Mathias, KE Lead Member, delivered the vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the KE Board for organizing the event as part of its mentoring initiative.
The program, held from 9 am to 5 pm, also welcomed Dr. Shruti Srinivasan, Professor of Entrepreneurship at Christ University, along with several aspiring student entrepreneurs. Dr. Srinivasan praised the initiative and expressed eagerness for further collaboration between KE and Christ University to bridge the gap between academia and industry.
