Bengaluru: “Since the migrant labours from other states have returned to their home states due to the Corona pandemic, the Kannadigas need to be given employment opportunities” urged Kannada Development Authority President T S Nagabharana.
During a meeting with the Labour Minister Shivarama Hebbar here on Thursday, T S Nagabharana requested the minister to bring an Act to provide local unemployed youth more job opportunities in lines with the Andra Pradesh government. “C and D category jobs in all private sector companies need to be reserved to local Kannadigas” he urged.
“There are a good number of skilled workers in our state. Business owners avoid employing then since they have to follow various guidelines of the government like basic facilities, minimum wages and need to follow labour laws. This needs to be checked” he added.
