Kannada writer Sumatheendra R. Nadig passes away

Bengaluru: Well-known Kannada poet, writer, critic Sumatheendra R Nadig passed away at a private hospital in the city on Tuesday early morning. He was 83.

Nadig had been admitted to the hospital a few days back following age-related illness.

Born in Kalasa of the Chikkamagaluru district in the year 1935, Nadig pursued his Masters in the University of Mysore (UoM) and the Temple University (US). His collection of poetry Dampatya Geeta was translated into many languages including English and Hindi. He has written children’s book too.
