Karnataka Braces for Stormy Days: Yellow Alert Issued by IMD
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for Karnataka, including Bengaluru, warning of thunderstorms, heavy rainfall, and gusty winds from May 12 to May 15.
Widespread Alert Across the State
The alert spans coastal, northern, and southern interior Karnataka, where wind speeds may reach 30–40 km/h, with some areas seeing gusts up to 50 km/h. The Karnataka State Natural Disaster Monitoring Centre (KSNDMC) also anticipates widespread rain and isolated thunderstorms.
