Karnataka govt follows Centre’s model, seeks public nomination for Rajyotsava award

Bengaluru: In line with Centre’s decision to seek public nominations for the Padma Shri awards, the Karnataka government also decided to seek public nomination for annual Rajyotsava award.

According to Kannada and Culture Minister V. Sunil Kumar, the public can nominate those who really engaged in social service via Seva Sindhu website.

Only those above 60 years should be nominated for the award. One can nominate three persons.

According to the authorities from the Kannada and Culture department, 66 achievers will be selected for the Rajyotsava award this year.

The Rajyotsava award is given every year on November 1.
