Bengaluru: The Karnataka High Court has dismissed the anticipatory bail plea of former JD(S) MP Prajwal Revanna, who is facing charges of rape and sexual assault.
In August 2024, a Special Investigation Team (SIT) submitted a 2,144-page charge sheet against Revanna, implicating him in multiple cases of sexual assault and harassment.
The charges include the alleged rape of a woman employed as a domestic help by Revanna’s family. In addition to this case, the former MP is accused in two other rape cases and one case of sexual assault.
Prajwal Revanna is a prominent political figure, being the son of Holenarasipura JD(S) MLA H.D. Revanna and the grandson of former prime minister H.D. Deve Gowda.
This case has attracted significant public and media attention, with many awaiting further developments in the ongoing legal proceedings.
