Bengaluru: In a big relief to lakhs of milk producers of the state, the Karnataka Milk Federation (KMF) has entered into an agreement with the Indian Army to supply milk and other milk products.
According to Mruthyunjaya Kulakarni, director, Marketing, KMF, the Hassan and Kolar federations will supply 18,000 litres of milk to the Indian army.
“The KMF will supply good life milk to the Indian army. An agreement has been signed in this regard with the Indian defence ministry,” he said.
According to the KMF authorities, this agreement is expected to help the KMF to ensure that there will be more demand for the KMF products across the country.
He also stated that presently the KMF is supplying over 2.5 lakhs of litres of milk and milk products into the various neighbouring states.
It can be recalled that recently the KMF entered into an agreement with the Tirupati temple for supplying pure ghee for the preparation of world famous Tirupati Laddu.
Nandini water: Kulakarni announced that soon the KMF will enter the drinking water segment with the release of packaged drinking water bottles, which will be made more affordable.
