Karnataka: State Government transfers four IPS officers

Bengaluru: The State Government on Monday January 2 transferred four IPS officials from their current postings till further orders as part of a restructuring of the State’s Police Administration.

According to the official notification, Sri N. Satheesh Kumar, Inspector General of Police (IGP), Northern Eastern Range, Kalaburgi will now continue as the IGP of Northern Range, Belagavi, until further orders.

Sri Labhu Ram, IGP and Commissioner of Police for the city of Hubballi-Dharawad, has also been promoted to the post of IGP, Intelligence, with immediate effect. The present IGP of the Northern Range, Belagavi, has been posted as the Deputy IGP and Commissioner of Police of the Hubballi-Dharawad City.

The Deputy IGP and Director of the Karnataka Police Academy, Sri Anupam Agrawal, has also been transferred to a downgraded post as the Deputy IGP of the Northern Eastern range at Kalaburgi, stated the gazette notification.
