Bengaluru: The BBMP, which worships Bengaluru founder Kempegowda, was left red-faced after it erroneously printed a picture showing the latter holding the sword in his left hand instead of the right.
The said picture was printed in the BBMP’s budget estimates book. The BBMP had presented its budget for the year 2018-19 with an outlay of Rs 9,326.87 crore on Wednesday.
While apologising for the error, Mayor Sampath Raj said that it was not done purposefully or to show disrespect to the great visionary.
Further he added that the budget was presented by JD(S) corporator Mahadev who also is the Chairman, Standing Committee of Taxation and Finance. He should have been careful while getting the budget estimates books printed,” he added.
