Bengaluru: Karnataka Home Minister Basavaraj Bommai has said that the government is all set to take some key decisions in the coming week to fight the drug menace.
Stating that the intelligence department will be involved in a big way, the Central Crime Branch (CCB), which is burdened with several cases will also be further strengthened by posting more officials and providing better facilities.
“We have decided to further strengthen the crackdown against drugs and narcotic substances. The coming week is crucial, as we have decided to give instructions to police in border districts for more stricter measures against drugs coming into the state from inter-state borders,” Bommai is quoted in The News Minute.
The CCB sleuths probing the drug scandal in the state has made several arrests including a few sandalwood actors like Ragini Dwivedi and Sanjjanaa Galrani.
