Bengaluru: Multinational food chain KFC has been accused of selling chicken products on Gandhi Jayanti day and Basavanagudi police have registered a case in this regard.
According to the Basavanagudi police, on Monday, Shrinivas, a resident of Basavanagudi lodged a complaint with them stating that chicken has been sold in KFC outlet on Vanivilas road. When police inquired outlet staff confessed that they were selling chicken products.
As meat sale has been banned on the Gandhi Jayanti day now, the police registered a FIR and summoned the senior managers of the outlet for investigation.
