Bengaluru: Veteran Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge took a dig at Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Twitter, Wednesday December 29.
He tweeted, “As state election campaigns begin, PM Modi has again begun asking votes in the name of ‘double engine’ jumla. Modiji, let me remind you that the BJP govt in Karnataka is known as a ‘40% commission’ govt. Please let the voters know what the commission split is for each engine?’’

It can be recalled here that association of contractors had approached Prime Minister Modi alleging that contractors in the State were forced to pay a bribe of upto 40% of the project cost to government officers and elected representatives to get their dues cleared.
