Bengaluru: The election for the prestigious post of Karnataka Milk Federation (KMF) chairman will be held today, August 31, at the KMF office in the Dairy circle area of the city.
The BJP has fielded party leader Balachandra Jarakiholi as their candidate and his opponent in the election is JD(S) leader and former PWD minister H D Revanna.
With seven Congress-backed directors extending their support to Jarakiholi, he is expected to become the new chairman of the KMF. They have been with Jarakiholi for the last two days.
The BJP offered the KMF chairman’s post to Jarakiholi in order to calm the rebellion in the party that started building after the state cabinet was formed.
