Kolar man bites rat snake to death for crossing path while returning from liquor shop

Bengaluru: In a bizarre incident, a man ended up biting off a snake to death after the reptile crossed his path when he was returning from a liquor shop.

The man, identified as Kumar (38), who hails from Mustur village in Kolar district’s Mulbagal has been arrested by the Mulbagal forest officials and a case was registered against him.

A video of the episode shows the man shouting and biting off the snake that he had put around his neck, while being perched on his bike. The man is holding liquor bottle in one hand and the snake in the other.

Sources said that the man bit a rat snake (also called as Kere Haavu in Kannada) to death.

It is said that when the forest officials reached the spot, the snake was dead and the accused was found resting near a shop.
