Kolar:  A complaint has been filed against Udupi DC G Jagadish and others in the Kolar Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) over alleged valuable gifts given at the time of send-off. RTI activist Narayana Swamy had moved the court seeking directions to ACB to register the case.

According to Narayana Swamy, in August 2019, Jagadish was transferred to Udupi. He was serving Kolar Zilla Panchayat as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO). At the send-off event, he was given valuable gifts including silver mice by various officers including Panchayat Development Officers (PDOs). Later the organizers stated all the gifts were brought on rental.

Swamy had moved ACB in this regard. However, the ACB had declined to accept and register any complaint. Swamy then moved the court seeking directions to the ACB to accept and register the complaint in this regard. Now the court has directed the ACB to receive the complaint.
