Kolar: As villagers declined to lend their vehicle, the body of a 42-year-old woman who died in front of a shop was taken to hospital in the bucket of an earthmover.
The woman is identified as Chandrakala (42) who arrived in Kurutahalli village of Chintamani with her 12-year-old daughter, earning a living by working in hotels and doing other small jobs. The police visited the place and asked the villagers to send the body to Chintamani Hospital for autopsy. Fearful crowd refuse to give any vehicle.
Later, a JCB arrived and shifted the body to the hospital. The autopsy results showed that she was Covid negative.
